Do you want to be part of an award-winning educational organization? Lookstein Virtual Jewish Academy is an Israel-based nonprofit that works to make excellent and affordable Jewish education accessible to students everywhere regardless of geographic location or ideological orientation. We have worked with over 1400 students to date.

 

We are currently seeking creative, high energy, and committed interns for various departments, including Communications, Education, and Admissions. These internships will help you acquire marketable skills and get you prepared to enter any fast paced work environment.

Graphic Artist Intern

We are seeking a work-from-home graphic artist intern to further our mission by creating designs to be used in educational materials and in marketing materials that serve to engage Jewish families and institutions around the world.

 

Internship will be on a per-project basis over a six month period and is ideal for an English-speaking art student looking to expand their portfolio and gain professional experience while giving back to the global Jewish community.

 

Video editing skills a plus. Possibility to turn into paid freelance position.

Social Media/Online Advertising Intern

We are seeking a work-from-home social media savvy intern for a 5-8 hours per week internship over a three-month or six-month period.

 

Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and expanding our social media presence to raise brand awareness, engage with and grow our audience, and generate new leads.
  • Managing social media and online advertising campaigns.
  • Some online research.
  • Tracking and analyzing performance.

Internship is ideal for a student or recent grad looking to build skills, bolster resume, and expand professional network while giving back to the global Jewish community.

Communications Intern

We are seeking a work-from-home writing intern for a 3-5 hours per week internship over a three-month or six-month period. The writing intern will further our mission by creating written materials including blog posts, press releases, and case studies that will serve to engage Jewish families and institutions around the world.

 

Internship is ideal for a student or recent grad looking to build skills, bolster resume, and expand professional network while giving back to the global Jewish community.

 

Possibility to turn into paid freelance position.

Film Intern

We are seeking a film intern to share our story of the power of online Jewish learning! This is the perfect opportunity for someone who is looking for a lot of artistic freedom and to develop their film portfolio while working in collaboration with a dynamic team of creative profession.

 

Responsibilities

  • Create video and photographic communications and contribute to planning and storyboarding
  • Create the end-to-end process from storyboarding to logistics to shooting to editing and publishing
  • Film video and shoot photographs in studio and/or field environments
  • Record desktop computer screens and actions for promo and training videos
  • Use existing original and stock footage to produce new videos
  • Create mixing and editing of polished and engaging video clips

 

Requirements

  • Working towards and/or recent graduates in a BA/BS/Graduate or Certificate in a media or related field of study (preferred)
  • Minimum of 3 months and a minimum of 10 hour/week commitment with a possibility of extension.
  • Strong communications skills.
  • Have the potential to deliver videos and photos that succinctly and clearly tell the desired story
  • Ability to deliver videos with cuts, graphics, sound and other elements that convey a quality production value and a level of technical sophistication
  • Experience with Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, Adobe Captivate and Adobe Photoshop
  • Knowledge of digital videography and photography cameras and equipment
  • Creativity, flexibility, & adaptability
  • Self-start with ability to work independently, with initial guidance

Admissions and Recruitment Intern

Do you want to be part of a growing and innovative non-profit educational organization? Are you a “go-getter” who is eager to recruit and engage thousands of potential students in Jewish learning opportunities? Lookstein Virtual Jewish Academy has worked with over 1400 Jewish students to date and we are looking to grow our program and recruit new audiences!

 

This is the perfect opportunity for someone who is looking to gain concrete recruitment and sales experience while working in collaboration with a dynamic team of creative professionals.

Please note: This is a virtual position and you would have the flexibility to work from any location. Either 3 or 6 month commitment and 5-10 hours per week.

 

Responsibilities would include but are not limited to:

  • Prospecting support on behalf of Lookstein Virtual
  • Assist in lead profiling and research
  • Observe admissions and sales calls with Director of Admissions
  • Assist in preparing webinar presentations for particular audiences and new client contracts
  • Facilitate admissions and sales calls with particular audiences (training provided)
  • Assist in preparing new campaign strategies’ including email, and outbound calling
  • Assess current campaigns to measure success and profitability

 

Requirements:

  • Either currently majoring in sales, marketing, or business and/or experience in the field (preferred but not required)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Proactive self-starter
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to manage numerous activities and support the efforts of others in achieving organizational goals
